2 month pediatrician visit on September 27th

Weight: 9lbs 7 oz
Height: 21 inches

She has gotten big!  She gained 2.5 pounds in the last month on breastmilk alone!  I couldn’t believe it!  She also got her 2 month shots which was difficult for me since she cried, but Tom came along and helped hold her.  She did really well.

Last night she did have a 100.2 degree fever (the doctor said that she probably would have a fever sometime in the next 24-48 hours after the shots) and I gave her a little Infant Tylenol.  She was really unhappy though and cried alot during the night.  Today she just seemed mildly uncomfortable and still have a 99.8 degree fever for awhile.  As of tonight, it seems to be back to normal.

The pediatrician said she is doing well.  She thinks Colleen has a form of colic with the gas and crying and it should go away in another month.  She wanted to make sure I was getting some help since it can be overwhelming.  That is why we go to my parents twice a week and Tom takes her for awhile in the evenings.  Mainly people just need to understand that I can’t get anything done except take care of my daughter at this time.

As for the congestion, she said to clear out her nose right before feedings and use some nasal drops.  Hopefully that will clear up too.

I had a cold most of the week (really bad on Tuesday and Wednesday) and so of course Colleen was extra congested.  Poor girl.
