Bea had her first taste of sand and found she didn’t really like it, but that didn’t stop her from then also trying the wet sand by the water to see if it was any different.

Colleen built a sandcastle and buried our feet.

Colleen LOVES the sand. She loves putting sand and rocks in her stroller.  She loves doing the same to mommy and daddy’s shoes as well.  She is able to play for a very long time in the sand.  I felt so bad the other day when I had to drag her away from the beach because we had to go home to wait for our microwave to be fixed.  She cried most of the way home.  I think this has even trumped swings as her favorite thing to do.  We’re going to have to make sure we get out there a lot before it gets too cold.
