Happy Halloween!
Saturday, November 1st, 2008Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! This is Tom’s favorite holiday. Colleen and I spent the morning at work with Tom so that we could participate with him in his department’s costume contest. We were the woodsman, grandma, and Little Red Riding Hood. Colleen looked awfully cute! Unfortunately, our camera’s batteries went kaput, so I’ll have to wait to put up photos until after we receive the “official” ones they took during the contest.
After lunch we then went trick or treating at Grandpa Joe/Grandma Judy’s and then on to Grandma Carol’s. At Joe and Judy’s, we had yummy chili that Joe made and delicious pumpkin pie. Colleen had a meltdown for the first 30 minutes and then started to really warm up to them. She was dancing and laughing and LOVED all the bunnies that Grandma Judy has. She also got a really cute outfit that says “Social Butterfly”.
Then on to see Grandma Carol and Uncle Chris and Uncle Mike and cousins, Dominik and Anton, as well as Chris’ girlfriend, Joette. As soon as we got there, Colleen started to cry, but was pointing to the corner where the toy box was when she and Tom visited last week. As soon as the toy box was located, all was well and she ran around the house throwing balls and reading books and just having fun. She got “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” from Grandma Carol. We had pizza there and then it was time to had home. Colleen was certainly starting to show the signs of having had too long of a day.
Of course, I forgot to mention that both Colleen and Tom now have full blown colds. They held up very well in spite of that.
